Transforming Education in England in the Past Ten Years
The Dean of the School of Education, The University of Buckingham Professor Barnaby Lenon, CBE
Professor Lenon has been closely involved with all the innovations in the schools and universities system in the UK over the past decade including the re-writing of the National Curriculum, the reform of all school examinations, the removal of schools from local authority control, the creation of groups of schools in multi-academy trusts, the introduction of mastery teaching methods in mathematics, the successful promotion of phonics as the best way to teach reading, the establishment of new ways of measuring the success of schools, the rapid expansion of universities, dealing with the impact of Covid.
Some innovations were successful, some less so.

莱农教授近距离参与了过去十年中英国中小学和大学体系的所有变革，包括重新编写国家课程、改革学校考试、取消地方当局对学校的过度控制、在多学院信托基金中建立学校集团、在数学中引入掌握教学法、成功推广语音教学法作为阅读教学的最佳方法、建立衡量学校成功与否的新方法、大学的快速扩张以及应对疫情的影响。
